FAQs
Which procedures require sedation?
Most of our procedures can be performed with local anesthesia alone, but sedation is often recommended for longer surgeries, complex procedures, or if you feel anxious about dental treatment.
What’s the difference between socket preservation and bone grafting?
Socket preservation is a type of bone graft placed right after a tooth is removed to prevent bone loss. Bone grafting can also be done later to rebuild areas where bone has already been lost.
How long do I have to wait to get an implant after a tooth is removed?
In many cases, we can place a dental implant immediately. If bone grafting is needed first, you may need to wait a few months for healing before the implant is placed.
Can you help if my denture doesn’t fit well?
We offer pre-prosthetic surgery, alveoloplasty, and implant-supported options to improve the comfort and stability of dentures.
Do I need to do anything special to prepare for surgery?
We’ll give you detailed pre-op instructions based on your procedure and whether you are receiving sedation. This may include fasting, adjusting medications, and arranging for someone to drive you home.
